The creation of Ade, is a re-creation of Michelangelo's 'the creation of Adam'. It illustrates the narrative from the Book of Genesis, in which God gives life to the first man, Adam. God's right arm is outstretched to impart the spark of life from his own finger into that of Adam, whose left arm is extended in a pose mirroring God's, this is a reminder that man is created in the image and likeness of God.

The creation of Ade replaces Adam and God from white men as central figures of authority and "flips the script" to black hands. Reminding us all that representation is vital, allowing black men to recognize themselves, in artistic forms.

Replacing the white male figures is essential to the reconditioning of our minds to accept new concepts of human value. Black people have been the least represented in classical art, disregarding their contribution to history. It is significant to change the narrative for the younger generation to see themselves in influential parts of history. From a religious perspective, it allows black men to understand their worth, once they comprehend the investment God has put into their lives.
